Phuket-Fantasea Show

Phuket Fantasea bills itself as "the ultimate cultural theme part". We can see many cultures of Thailans in Fantasea and the main event of Fantasea is the stage show.

The stage is huge and the performance space even bigger. Aisles, ceiling, audience-every part of the theatre is used. While the eye is treated to modern effects like smoke, explosions, lasers, rain, soaring people, the brain gets insight into Thai culture in the form of traditional dances from different regions of the country, shadow puppets, and a fascinating wardrobe.

Although I don't understand the story and making me feel boring, but some part of the show is not bad. We can see few animals become accomplished actors, e.g. elephant, goats, roosters and water buffalo.

We could not take any photo in the theater because camera is not allowed bring into theater. The entire camera should keep in the locker before we are going to the theater and we only get back the camera after the show.

The Theater

Phuket-Wat Chalong

Wat Chalong is one of Phuket's most important temples.

Wat Chalong is officially called 'Wat Chaitararam' by royal decree but not many people use that name. Located in the northern part of Tambol Chalong ('tambol' means sub-district in Thai) on Chao Fa West Rd, the wat is close to many local attractions. The name 'Chalong' means 'festival' in Thai - many years ago the area was named 'Chalang' after locals, fearing Burmese invaders, had moved from Thalang district. However, the Thai government pointed out that no such word existed in the Thai language and ordered local officials to change the name.
